: Wind
This symbol is a combination of {(some) waving thing in space} as the fundamental symbol for "wind."

This hand sign is sent by opening between the index finger and the pinkie to show "a space"
in front of the same side of shoulder, and drawing a cycle of wave-line with that hand.

For this body sign, move the both hands shaped as to draw large one-cycle horizontal and parallel waves.

Meditation Exercise
This aim is for sending a wind to your mind and body for well flowing.
Try it when you feel boredom or stagnation to refresh yourself.

When you have a problem in your lower body, you can sit to do this,
but probably you'd like to move to one direction with the image of "wind."
First set the heading direction and start this exercise.

Stably stand on your feet, a little more than your shoulder width.
The heading direction is your choice: to the right, to the left,
to the diagonally front/behind or circling around.
Whatever direction you go, bring your
heading-side -signed hand to the front of the opposite
shoulder, keeping the shoulder-width distance from
the other signed hand at the same height.
Your weight is on the opposite side foot of your heading direction.

Gradually shifting your weight into the center,
draw an upper half circle with both hands.
So your hands are in front of each side shoulder.
Then continuously and smoothly shift your weight
on your heading side foot, drawing a lower half circle with each of the signed hands.
Keep the index fingers and pinkies standing up all the time till then.
After drawing one cycle of wave , your pose now is the opposite from the starting time.
The body sign for "wind" finished, but the wind must want to go more.

Toward your heading side foot, pulling up the other, break up the sign of both hands
to lower them naturally. Then smoothly bring them up to the other side,
taking a step forward. So you return to the beginning pose.
Repeat the exercise until you feel good.

Breathe in when your hands are out of sign, and breathe out when they move
as the wave from the top to the bottom of the cycle, feeling like you are a wind
blowing into your internal world and all around it.
Whichever the right or the left you go, the above half move for the wave is first.

Depending on your mood, try various speeds and directions, imagining different winds
and blowing views. Becoming a whirlwind might be fun especially among kids.
Try with music and with friends together would be more pleasant:
e.g. one person becomes a wind, and others become a tree, grass, butterfly etc.;
and all sway together according to the wind movements.
This kind of group exercise gives you another taste of energy-flow.
Please have fun.

Japanese

:
