A Happy New Year!
On the day when yesterday became last year, what did you imagine for the year 2009? Starting the new year, most people in the world feel chilly with fears; and yesterday's light looks very near, but it sinks under that untouchable place. But the light must rise tomorrow again.
This month's haiku is from Fay Aoyagi's Haiku January 2008 in her Haiku website. Here you also can see many English translations of Haiku by Japanese masters.
