(one),
(three)
(the moon...the
globe looked like changing it's shape like this)
(boats...
shaping of a container floating on wave. 'Plural' is clear with 3, so adding
#27(to show plural) to this character or not are both okay.)
Just like the Kanji characters, this word could be shown as joined-characters in EL too. But for getting the meaning in a better way, I put the preposition (from) between one moon and three boats.
I found this word which was used as a title of a series of essays by Iwakuni Tetsundo (in Japanese ) through the Internet. It is an old concept but always new. It hits me because I was just thinking about the three different moons between European, American and Kanji-users, while I have had fifty round-trip emails with a linguistic student Matijas* in Austria for the past month.
I think EL has to include all of these contradictory perspective essences, and be able to light up the world equally like the moon. The difficulty for me now is to explain EL in English or other ready-made languages which do not have similar systems. Even if the moon has no problem, if I explain it on a Japanese boat yet, other people must get confused. This era needs a lot of discussions among many angles for relatively understanding each other. EL wants to be a large target of the discussions.
