Haiku and Pictograph in EL, "Cicada Birthday" by Gabi Greve - July 2006 -

. . . .

This is an EL (Earth Language) experimental page to enjoy
the image of a haiku/short poem originally in English/Japanese.
When you can't see the Japanese parts, please don't mind and just skip those parts, or see here to view Japanese.

Carol Raisfeld from the last month version introduced me to
an interesting haikuist named Gabi Greve.
She and her husband are German having the Daruma Museum and
Gokuraku An (the Health Center Daruma-Do) in Okayama, Japan.
Her collection of Daruma data is great with the knowledge and photos;
also she is working for World Kigo (seasonal words) Database
for World Haiku Club. These huge websites by her are very informative and enjoyable.
She also suggested me to use her web site for how to view Japanese. Thanks Gabi!

For this month, I use her haiku from the page, "Cicada Birthday"
in her Happy Haiku site. The cicada's close-up jumped into my image
from this haiku, and I translated "evening breeze-" into Japanese as the world
that the cicada faced first after metamorphosed, without using a pause.
(You can see Gabi's photos of the moments of metamorphosis of the cicada in her original site.)
