Haiku and the Pictograph in EL, "spring noon" - April 2006 -

. . . .

This is an EL (Earth Language) experimental page to enjoy
the image of a haiku/short poem originally in English/Japanese.
When you can't see the Japanese parts, please don't mind and just skip those parts.

Most Japanese people imagine cherry bossums hearing April. I wonder what kind of flower is in this haiku.
A breaze carries a blossom closer and closer to its own shadow until finally touching it.
The moment makes you forget every other thing....
This author is Elena Naskova born and raised in Macedonia; and she is a writer of plays, short fictions and poems.
I found this haiku at the web site  of Simply Haiku: A Quarterly Journal of Japanese Short Form Poetry; Spring 2006, Volume 4, Number 1. Thanks the editor and Elena.

四月といえばやっぱり花、日本人の私は桜をイメージしましたが、この俳句の花は何でしょうね?
そよ風が花一輪を宙で運んでいます、自分の影にぴったり重なるところまで。
ほかのことすべてを忘れた一瞬です。
